据外媒报道，电气和电子工程师协会（IEEE）日前已正式发布了第一个基于光的LiFi（Light Fidelity）通信全球标准802．11bb，用于提高基于光通信与现有的WiFi无线电系统的互操作性。消息显示，IEEE 802．11bb标准已于2023年6月完成，该标准定义了使用光波进行无线通信的物理层规范和系统架构，为Li－Fi技术的广泛采用奠定了基础。
