设计了由传动系统、牵引装置、捡拾器、喂入机构、成捆室、捆绳机构、液压系统以及卸草器等组成的钢辊外卷式圆捆打捆机，简述了圆捆打捆机的工作原理以及关键部件的结构设计等。对圆捆打捆机的运动参数进行了设计计算，对喂入机构的运动轨迹进行了描述，分析了螺线型成捆室的特点。为检验圆捆打捆机的可靠性和适应性，在不同的作业环境和条件下进行了性能试验和生产考核，结果证明该机结构能够适应各种不同的作业环境。
