陕西师范大学宗教研究中心是学校直属人文社会科学研究机构，陕西（高校）哲学社会科学重点研究基地。2004年11月成立，2007年9月设置实体编制。
陕西省社会科学院宗教研究起步于1980年，1985年成立“长安佛教研究组”，1986年在历史研究所成立宗教研究室，1994年成立历史宗教研究所，1999年正式成立宗教研究所，历任所长王亚荣、张应超、樊光春。该所是陕西省最早成立的宗教学专业研究机构。现有在职人员12人，高级职称7人，中级职称4人，其中博士7人、博士后1人。现任所长李继武，副所长潘存娟。
